Babylon Village Arts Council Art by the Falls Featured Artist Alyson Uttendorfer
Allyson Uttendorfer is an artist and art educator currently working at Half Hollow Hills High School East. She received her BFA and BA in Fine Art and Art History from Stony Brook University and continued on to receive duel Masters Degrees in Art Education and Instructional Technology from Adelphi University and LIU Post. Uttendorfer worked at the Heckscher Museum of Art for five years serving as the Director of Education. She remains on the Museums Education Committee and is an educational consultant. She has been a visiting artist for their Summer workshops and taught art class there and presented at their Superintendents’ Day Conferences to hundrens of art professionals. Recently Uttendorfer was awarded an ASSET teacher of distinction award and exhibited her photographs at the Conklin House. Uttendorfer also does freelance graphic design and has several designs featured on clothing at Ooh la la Boutiques. Uttendorfer focuses on photography and mixed media in her own work and is in the process of creating a photographic series on roadside memorials. She typically photographs her surroundings and the ever changing world.

Community support enable BVAC to present cultural art programs throughout the year to the Long Island community. Programs are made possible in part through grants from Suffolk County, New York State Council of the Arts and through Nassau and Suffolk Counties in partnership with Huntington Arts Council, sponsorships, partnerships, donations and memberships.
