Babylon Village Arts Council Art by the Falls Featured Artist Jennifer Avallone
YES it's Paper!
I love what I do! Paper art has been my outlet for art and creativity. Between chatting with online customers and meeting people at artisan and craft fairs, the encouragement has been unbelievable. After seeing this art several years ago, I fell in love with it. Searching the internet for tips and tricks, I taught myself the art of quilling and have had a successful and memorable time since starting my business in 2012. In 2016 I decided to extend past online and craft fairs and add shops to my business. I am now featured in 9 specility shops all over Long Island and New England and more than 15 Hallmark locations (soon to be expanding to other markets).
Quilling; or paper filigree, is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. Half of my designs are custom (based on customer requests), while the other half is my own imagination.
Babylon Village Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
Community support enable BVAC to present cultural art programs throughout the year to the Long Island community. Programs are made possible in part through grants from Suffolk County, New York State Council of the Arts and through Nassau and Suffolk Counties in partnership with Huntington Arts Council, sponsorships, partnerships, donations and memberships.
