Babylon Village Arts Council Art by the Falls Featured Artist Wolfgang Van
My ability to draw was discovered at the age of six. I had drawn a pencil sketch of Michelangelo's "Creation of Man" and got in trouble. The teacher thought that I had stolen an older student's work. To everyone's surprise, I was able to draw the same thing free hand for the principal. I have been painting an sketching ever since.
Over the years I have exhibited at small street fairs, coffee shops and local galleries. My work has been noted by critics, and is desired by collectors. There are currently over 200 finished works in my catalog, and 20 in progress. From the early days of realism, to abstract expressionism, I continue to challenge my approach and execution with new styles.
