On Saturday, May 20th Babylon Village Arts Council will present its outdoor art exhibit entitled 'Art by the Falls' featuring over 15 local artists and Babylon High School art students. Potter Jonathan Zamet will be on hand, displaying his pots as well as Gena Vaccarello who will be showing her ceramics. Tom Finn, artist, Kathy Cunningham, collagist, Sal Ingoglia, Author Christie Leigh Babirad, Steven Walker charcoal artist and oil painter Joan Beska will be displaying their work. Mixed media artists include Frank Duffy, Susan Gromatsky, Gallina Lampert, Dannielle DeSantis (Art of my focus), Melissa Maeillo and Allyson and Shawn Uttendorfer. Jewelry designer, Donna Irvine and photographer Denise Rafkind will be showing her photographs from around the world. CDC guidelines will be adhered to at this event. This event is made possible through Suffolk County, Village of Babylon and funding from the DEC through the Huntington Arts Council. There will be a puppet show from Petra's Puppets at noon and music from Nico and the Man beginning at 1:00 pm. This free event is from 10AM - 4:00 PM. Rain date May 21, 2023. The Babylon Village Arts Council (BVAC) is searching for artists to exhibit in its 15th annual outdoor art exhibition. Art by the Falls will be held on May 20, 2023 from 10 am to 4 pm in Argyle Park. This outdoor art exhibition and sale will feature local artists in a variety of media such as pottery, photography, painting, woodworking and more. This free event will feature live music and a puppet show for families. Two student artists from Babylon High School will showcase their art as part of the Art Partnership Program. This program awards selected students with a scholarship to purchase art supplies to create a unique series of artwork and experience the exhibition process.
